Boldt Castle Cruise

Join us for a 4-hour cruise of the 1000 Islands and experience the magnificent Boldt Castle on Heart Island.

Beginning in the historic waterside village of Rockport, you will cruise past Zavikon Island (the world’s shortest international bridge), opulent Millionaire’s Row, the St. Lawrence Seaway, and the 1000 Islands Bridge as you see the area’s most breathtaking scenery.  During your 2.5 hour stop at Boldt Castle you will have time to explore this grandest of all Gilded Age Mansions. An eternal monument to the memory of a man’s love for his wife, this castle was designed as a summer dream home to rival castles in Europe. Tragically the millionaire hotel magnate’s wife died, and all construction stopped just months before the completion of the castle. Today, an ongoing major restoration is underway to stabilize and restore this magnificent piece of Island history. Lunch is included prior to the cruise at Mavericks in Gananoque.
