Join us for an exciting four day getaway in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Week and immerse yourself into the world of quilting! Take quilt classes, enjoy lectures, and shop fabrics, notions and more at the Vendor Merchant Mall. Most of all, be inspired as you explore beautiful quilts, from award-winning and semi-finalist contest quilts to special exhibits. On our return home we’ll make some quilt-related shopping stops including The Craft Outlet, Joann Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby, where you’ll find top-quality fabrics, machines, and quilting essentials to fuel your creative passion. This short getaway promises to celebrate the beauty and diversity of quilting, from cherished traditions to cutting-edge creations. This tour will include 3 nights at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel with breakfast daily, roundtrip motor coach transportation, and the services of a Cardinal/Lakeshore Tour director! A valid Canadian passport is required for this tour.

Day 1 – Tuesday August 20, 2024 | Depart for Grand Rapids, MI
Today we will board the coach and depart from our pre-selected pickup points to make our way to Grand Rapids, Michigan! We will make rest stops along the way including a stop for lunch. On arrival this evening we’ll check into the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. Conveniently connected to the DeVos Place Convention Centre via a climate controlled walkway, you’ll have easy access to the host venue of Quilt Week.
Day 2 – Wednesday August 21, 2024 | Grand Rapids, MI (B)
Before you start your exciting day of quilting, you’ll receive a breakfast voucher worth $20, which can be redeemed at Kitchen Counter by Wolfgang Puck inside the hotel. Today you will have a full day to explore Quilt Week floor. Our hotel is connected to the convention centre allowing for easy access! Enjoy quilt classes, exhibits, plus shopping for fabrics, tools and much more! A full schedule of events will be provided in your package closer to arrival!
Day 3 – Thursday August 22, 2024 | Grand Rapids, MI (B)
Today will be another full day at the Quilt Week. You’ll receive a breakfast voucher worth $20, which can be redeemed at Kitchen Counter by Wolfgang Puck inside the hotel! Because we have two day passes to the event, you’ll be able to enjoy the festivities once more at your own pace. Keep in mind if you need a break from quilting, you’re also only steps away from downtown Grand Rapids – which is home to140+ restaurants, five museums, and countless great shops!
Day 4 – Friday August 23, 2024 | Grand Rapids – Home (B)
Following breakfast at the hotel ($20 voucher), it’s time to bid farewell to Grand Rapids. We’ll check out of the hotel and embark for some shopping, making stops at The Craft Outlet, Joann Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby. Along the way home, we’ll ensure you to make rest stops including a stop for lunch. Don’t forget to take advantage of a visit to the US Duty-Free for some final shopping before returning to Canada. Our coach will make its way back to your designated pickup location, where we’ll part ways with wonderful memories of the Quilt Week!
