This tour will provide a snapshot view of the Maritime provinces and give you a chance to experience life in Atlantic Canada. Prepare to be amazed – from the incredible changing tides at the Hopewell Rocks of New Brunswick, to the picturesque Cabot Trail of Cape Breton, to the Green Gables Homestead of Prince Edward Island. Other highlights include a visit to Peggy’s Cove – home the most photographed lighthouse in Canada and a tour of Lunenburg – a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the best preserved British colonial settlements in North America! Day 1 | Wednesday, July 22 – Home to Montreal
Board our coach this morning at one of our many pre-selected pickup locations to join your Maritime Adventure! We plan to arrive in Montreal in the early afternoon where we will pick up our local guide for a two hour tour of the city. At the end of the tour we will check into our Downtown Hotel. The balance of the evening is free for dinner (on your own).
Day 2 | Thursday, July 23 – Montreal to Fredricton, NB (B,D)
After breakfast this morning we will continue our journey east travelling along the southern shore of the St. Lawrence River and then into the first maritime province we visit – New Brunswick. Our day on the road will end in Fredericton where a “Welcome to the Maritimes Dinner” awaits us. The rest of the evening will be free to relax on your own!
Day 3 | Friday, July 24 – Fredricton, NB to Halifax, NS (B, L)
After breakfast this morning We continue our journey through New Brunswick this morning when we travel to the Bay of Fundy to walk the ocean floor at Hopewell Rocks. The Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides in the world. We enjoy an early lunch at the High Tides Cafe before continuing on to Nova Scotia. This afternoon we visit the Anne Murray Centre in Springhill, before continuing our journey to Halifax where we will check in to our downtown Hotel for three nights. This evening will be free to explore the downtown area and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant on your own.
Day 4 | Saturday, July 25 – Lunenburg & Peggy’s Cove (B)
After breakfast, we will meet with our local step on guide and travel to Peggy’s Cove to see one of Canada’s most famous lighthouses. In the afternoon we’ll spend some free time exploring the picturesque seaside town of Lunenburg – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later this afternoon we will return to Halifax where we will have more free time to enjoy the city and have dinner on our own.
Day 5 | Sunday, July 26 – Halifax, NS (B, D)
We’ll start our day exploring the local sights in the heart of Halifax. Highlights include the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic and the beautiful Fairview Lawn Cemetery where more than 150 victims of the Titanic are buried. We will visit the Halifax Seaport Farmers market where you can get lunch on your own and explore the many shops and stalls. Enjoy some free time this afternoon prior to an included group dinner in Halifax this evening! The rest of the night will be at leisure.
Day 6 | Monday, July 27 – Halifax, NS to Baddeck, NS (B, L, D)
We say farewell to Halifax this morning as we travel to Baddeck in Cape Breton. We will stop along the way for an included lunch. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to rest up or explore the area at the hotel. Tonight we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and then experience a true Cape Breton Ceilidh. Bring your dancing shoes and sing along!
Day 7 | Tuesday, July 28 – Cabot Trail to Stellarton, NS (B, L)
Today we get to experience one of Canada’s most famous roadways – The Cabot Trail. A local step-on guide will provide commentary as we travel along one of the most scenic drives in the world. There will be plenty of stops along the way for photo opportunities and to stretch your legs. Lunch will also be provided along the route today. Tonight you’ll have time for dinner (on your own) in Antigonish before finishing our day in Stellarton where we will stay the night.
Day 8 | Wednesday, July 29 – Stellarton, NS to Charlottetown, PEI (B)
After breakfast, we will depart Stellarton for Prince Edward Island. We’ll board the ferry for the 75 minute crossing of the Northumberland Strait. We’ll arrive in Charlottetown in the early afternoon where we have time for lunch (on your own) followed by a short city tour. This evening we will attend an included performance of at the Charlottetown Festival Theatre (Show TBA). We will return to the hotel after the show this evening where the rest of the evening will be at leisure.
Day 9 | Thursday, July 30 – PEI North Shore (B, D)
After breakfast we will meet our local step-on guide for a full-day tour of Prince Edward Island. First we’ll visit Cavendish where highlights will include a visit to Green Gables Heritage Place and a drive through PEI National Park. Next we will head to North Rustico to learn about the fishing industry on the Island. Here you can also visit the PEI Preserve Company where you can browse the tastefully decorated gift shop. This evening you will be treated to group dinner at the Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant in Rustico. We’ll return to our hotel in Charlottetown after dinner.
Day 10 | Friday, July 31 – Charlottetown, PEI to Fredericton, NB (B, L, D)
Today we bid farewell to PEI and travel back to the mainland over the Confederation Bridge. Once back on the mainland we travel to Shediac where you will experience a lobster-themed boat cruise on Shediac Bay. Become a true lobster connoisseur as your guide explains the history and art of lobster fishing. Savor an included lobster lunch as you enjoy traditional Acadian music. This evening We’ll return to Fredericton and enjoy an included dinner at the hotel!
Day 11 | Saturday, August 1 – Fredericton, NB to Quebec City, QC (B)
We begin the trek home this morning travelling through New Brunswick into Quebec. This evening we’ll
check in to our hotel, centrally located only a short walk away from Old Quebec City. Take some time to
explore “North America’s most European City” and enjoy dinner on your own.
Day 12 | Sunday, August 2 – Quebec City to Home (B)
Today is our last day on tour. After breakfast we board our coach and make our way back to Ontario.
We’ll make regular stops along the way and you should be back to your home town early in the evening.

We suggest you are able to: Walk 3-4 km over the course of a day with no problem, can partake in a leisurely walking tour (with included breaks), handle a variety of terrains, from cobblestone streets to moderate hills with relative ease and without assistance and climb two flights of stairs with ease.
