Caribbean Cruise 2026 (From New York City)

Find a slice of paradise onboard the NCL Breakaway on this 13-day winter getaway to the Caribbean!

This cruise starts and finishes in New York City, and we’ll get you there and back by motor coach! This cruise visits 6 different ports including: New York City, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, San Juan in Puerto Rico, Philipsburg in St. Maarten, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands! Take a ride up the Pico Isabel de Torres Mountain in Puerto Plata, which stands over 2,600 feet high. Visit Magens Bay in the US Virgin Islands, renowned for its stunning white sand beach and crystal-clear waters. Explore Old San Juan, where you can wander through its colorful colonial streets! All meals are included onboard this ship. This tour includes a pre-cruise night and tour in New York City along with the services of a Cardinal Lakeshore Tour Director.

Day 1 | January 22, 2026 – Home to New York City

Meet the coach at one of our pre-determined pickup locations this morning. This is a travelling day with scheduled comfort breaks. We plan to arrive in New York City in the late afternoon/early evening. Tonight you will have free time for dinner on your own!

Day 2 | January 23, 2026 – New York City/Embarkation (B, L, D)

This morning we will depart for a driving tour of New York City taking in the highlights including Times Square, Central Park, Wall Street and more! This afternoon we will board our ship – the NCL Breakaway where we will spend the next 11 nights. Be sure to head to the top deck for stunning NYC skyline views as we set sail.

Day 3-4 | January 24 – 25, 2026 – At Sea (B, L, D)

Good morning! The next two days will be at sea as we make our way to the Caribbean. All meals are included on board and be sure to take in the amenities of the ship and relax. From bow to stern, our ship has enough onboard activities to fill every minute of your day.

Day 5 | January 26, 2026 – Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic (B, L, D)

Puerto Plata is the ninth largest city in the Dominican Republic. For spectacular city views, take a ride up the Pico Isabel de Torres Mountain, which stands over 2,600 feet high. Visit Fortaleza San Felipe, which was built in the 16th century and served as a prison under the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo. Or head to the Amber Museum, a museum filled with a unique collection of valuable Dominican amber.

Day 6 | January 27, 2026 – San Juan, Puerto Rico (B, L, D)

Welcome to San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico! Founded in 1521, San Juan’s picturesque cobblestone streets, plazas and chapels reflect its Spanish heritage. But the second oldest city in the Americas also boasts fine beaches, lush rainforests, verdant mountainsides, imposing forts and a lovely tropical climate.

Day 7 | January 28, 2026 – Philipsburg, St. Maarten (B, L, D)

With an area of only 37 square miles, the island of St. Maarten is the smallest landmass in the world to be divided between two governments. The southern Dutch half offers casinos, duty-free shopping, and island culture. The French half is all subdued sophistication.

Day 8 | January 29, 2026 – Tortola, British Virgin Islands (B, L, D)

Discovered by Christopher Columbus himself in 1493, this exotic, peaceful island is home to both towering mahogany trees and white-sand beaches. The region offers a challenging hike that extends 1,780 feet up Sage Mountain. A great spot for great birdwatching and breathtaking views of Tortola and neighbouring islands.

Day 9 | January 30, 2026 – St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (B, L, D)

Although founded by the French in 1627, St. Kitts is a very British paradise where cricket and tea are the norm. The dramatic mixed island landscape is rimmed in gold-sand beaches and dotted with well preserved plantations left from when the island was covered with sugar cane.

Days 10 – 12 | January 31 – Feb 2, 2026 – At Sea (B, L, D)

The final two days of the cruise we’re making our way back North to New York City. Enjoy incredible cuisine and endless entertainment onboard the ship and just relax before our bus ride home from New York City.

Day 13 | February 3, 2026 – New York to Home (B)

This morning we will disembark in Manhattan where our coach will be waiting to begin our journey home. Our motor coach will return you to your original pickup locations and we will bid new and old friends farewell!
