Elmira Sugar Bush Tour

We are travelling to Mennonite Country today where we will discover and celebrate all things maple.

At our first stop, St. Jacob’s Market, there will be time to browse the many vendors selling quality meats and cheeses, locally produced maple syrup, honey, preserves, baking, local crafts, housewares, wearables, and more. Some items are brought to market by the truckload; others arrive by horse & buggy from local Old Order Mennonite farms.  Following an included homemade delicious lunch we will enjoy a two-hour Sugar Bush tour featuring a visit to the Sugar Shack with information about the process of making maple syrup provided by a local farmer. At the on-farm store you will have the opportunity to purchase and bring home many treats including maple syrup, apples, cider, preserves, etc.. Sit back and enjoy this tour as it takes you on a scenic drive through Mennonite Country, past an Old Order Mennonite church and a Mennonite school.
