Experience the charm of Northern Ontario on this 5-day Tobermory & Manitoulin Island tour.

Begin your journey in Bala with a visit to Cacao Boys for a chocolate-making demonstration and tasting, followed by lunch overlooking Bala Falls and a tasting at Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery. Continue to Sudbury, the “City of Lakes,” for dinner and an overnight stay. Experience Science North and even Dynamic Earth, home of the Big Nickel, before travelling to Manitoulin Island for a memorable sunset dinner cruise. Spend the next day immersed in Indigenous culture at Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, where you’ll learn about many traditional teachings, history, and storytelling, with lunch at the Debajemujig Creation Centre. Cross the water aboard the Chi-Cheemaun ferry from Manitoulin to to beautiful Tobermory. We’ll board a cruise of the mesmerizing Flowerpot Island rock formations, complete with a glass bottom providing a view of the shipwrecks below. Conclude your journey with a lovely farewell lunch in the Blue Mountain Village.

Itinerary

Day 1: Departure, Muskoka & Sudbury (L, D)
We’ll start the day by picking you up at your designated pickup spot before we head off. Your Manitoulin & Tobermory adventure begins with a sweet stop in Bala at Cacao Boys for a chocolate-making demonstration and tasting. Enjoy a nice lunch overlooking Bala Falls at Moon River Lookout Restaurant, then visit Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery for a guided tasting and wagon ride. Continue to Sudbury, the “City of Lakes,” for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 2: Sudbury & Manitoulin Island (B, L, D)
After an included breakfast, explore Science North and Dynamic Earth, home of the Big Nickel, featuring hands-on exhibits and an underground mine tour. Enjoy a boxed lunch before traveling to the beautiful Manitoulin Island. This evening, take in breathtaking views on a sunset dinner cruise through the Waubino channel, featuring live music and regional cuisine.

 

Day 3: Manitoulin Island & Wiikwemkoong (B, L, D)
Experience Indigenous culture in Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory with incredible storytelling, medicinal plant teachings, and a visit to the Debajemujig Creation Centre. Savor a traditional Indigenous-inspired lunch before returning to your hotel for a relaxing evening. There will also be a lovely group dinner at the hotel tonight.

 

Day 4: Manitoulin Island to Tobermory (B, D)
Cross the water aboard the Chi-Cheemaun ferry from Manitoulin to to beautiful Tobermory, enjoying breathtaking views. On arrival in Tobermory, we’ll board a cruise of the mesmerizing Flowerpot Island rock formations, complete with a glass bottom providing a view of the shipwrecks below. Conclude the day with a wonderful dinner at Clementine’s Restaurant before overnighting in Owen Sound.

 

Day 5: Blue Mountain & Return Home (B, L)
Enjoy a farewell lunch and free time in Blue Mountain Village at Kaytoo Restaurant followed by some free time to enjoy the village. We will then return you to your designated drop-off location. We hope you are filled with wonderful memories of Northern Ontario’s beauty and culture.
